Giant Robot in NY is interesting. They’ve been around only a few years in NYC and they continue to build their brand amongst the baddest hustlin’ motherfuckers around. Get your shivs out cause nice ain’t gonna cut it.

This was an art show with Jeffrey Brown, Allison Cole, R. Kikuo Johnson, Anders Nilsen and Daria Tessler. I don’t know most of them except for R. Kikuo Johnson who I met that night and had read an article about him in Theme magazine. I read that article because that goddamned magazine comes once every three months so there was plenty of time to read it. No, not because it’s an excellent magazine. It’s okay, but whatever, I don’t know how the hell that magazine makes money, it’s like a 12-page glossy w/ like 2 advertisers, Adobe and PF Flyer. okay, I’m rambling… but the circulation of that magazine is gotta be shitty cause my second year was free! alright, alright, I’m still rambling…

Look at this place that I went to eat. It’s called Ma-Jing-Ga Snack Shop. LOOK AT IT! I thought it was going to be a robot-themed restaurant. I thought men in robot costumes were going to serve me! I was just saying the other day, that all you gotta do is put some sorta robot in front of the store and you’ll see me running towards that direction with two handfuls of money.

Other than that 3 feet figurine and the pictures on the walls that they probably took from the internet!!!, there’s nothing robot about the place at all. I was tricked!!!

These are giant anime heads. Look at the video. This gallery was near a bunch of other galleries. The artist’s name is “Mr.” That’s pretty cool, maybe pretentious, I’ve never met him.

Is this art? Is this novelty? I’m tired. I don’t care. I’m going to change the subject.

I own so much garbage. I hate owning things sometimes. I got all these books, maybe you know what I’m talking about, but I’ve got all these books that I bought a while back that I told myself I would read but have not yet read. Some of these books are many years old. Owning books you want to read is stressful. I hate it.

I’ve been enlightened before. There were times in my life where I tried to get rid of as much as I could. I felt lighter/more free immediately. Years ago, I read this “list of things that are cool” in this magazine called Giant Robot. It listed what was cool and what was not cool. One of the things that I remember it saying was NOT COOL was getting rid of everything you own, going through some sorta punk rebellious stage. I’m tired of owning things.

What the fuck is this!? Sometimes I give a shit and sometimes I don’t. I just got outta work so maybe I just don’t give a shit right now.

Is this the next step in art?

Okay, let’s do a quick timeline, and I don’t think this is at all accurate so don’t fuckin’ bother me about it, BUT! Art used to be all beautiful paintings of scenery and rich people, and then (I’m skipping a lot of shit here) it expanded into different mediums like tv, design, sound, interpretative, abstract, and then there was anti-art (actually anti-art as art happened ALL the fuckin’ time and the assholes who thought anti-culture/anti-art - dada? - thought themselves to be so unique and creative were/are just a bunch of dickwads). Now, just label EVERYTHING as art - just give me money.

I’m not going to praise this but I won’t bad-mouth it a lot either. It’s a small “store,” at the above-shown location that has all this expensive shit inside that you either can buy or can’t buy. I don’t fucking know. You should read the article and tell me because I am not that interested. I was interested enough to go see the goddamned thing but I don’t want to know more about it. My personal opinion is that it’s for either dumb rich people or just dumb people.

Look at the poster. It’s insane! I saw this movie last night. Not at the theaters but in my room, on my laptop, with the lights turned off and, yes, as usual, with my pants down. Why pants down you ask? Well let me ask you, why not? mhmm, mhmm… why not?

I downloaded this film (illegally, not illegally? I don’t know) but it was interesting. It’s abstract and it’s colorful. It’s about this woman who’s a researcher with split personalities and one of those personalities can dive into people’s dreams. The New York Times raved about this film by comparing it to American animation. I recall seeing something in the NY Times about how American animators are still playing in the sandbox while Japanese animators are reaching for the sky (Slap!). Whatever, I don’t know, I felt scared and alone after I watched this, like that time I drank too much milk at that night club and woke up without any clothes on, laying next to two dead hookers, a big black man and a spatula - shudder, again.

I don’t typically watch TV. However, I recently saw this commercial for Old Navy swimsuits, for broads. There was this hot asian broad in the beginning and I was thinking, “holy crap, Old Navy does offer great clothes for reasonable prices!” and then, “holy crap, hot asian broad.” So what I did was go on Google, amazing, and typed in ‘Old Navy Commercial Asian’ and BOOM! got links to sites with ‘Who is the hot asian model in the new old navy bikini commercial …’ in their headings. Her name is Jarah Mariano.

Then I found her model agency site, her stats, her address, social security number, credit card numbers, recently sited locations, date of birth, her favorite pokémon (soft lecherous chuckling…). Is that weird? No, are you crazy? It’s romantic.
