Programming is the language of the future

Think about that title for a while. You might think it’s obvious but think about it in more depth and expand on the face value of what I mean. If computers are going to do all the leg work of thinking and humans are the ones doing the pointing (to tell the computers where to go and what to do) then the more you “speak” or understand the language of programming the more you’ll be able to allocate your time towards the imaginative and more rewarding part of creating.

There are a bunch of standardized programming languages out there but the concept is the same, tell the computer what to do. Being good at using the basic Windows programs or Adobe Flash is one thing and being able to control every move the computer makes is a whole other thing.
